What To Wear To Manchester Pride This Weekend!

Pride has grown to become one of the biggest events of the Summer and with over 40 countries, across 6 continents all hosting their own versions of pride parades it is an event worth attending. August 23rd sees pride return to Manchester for a weekend full of festivities including the main parade which runs from Liverpool road, through Deansgate and finishes in canal street. As a Manchester based company, we can’t wait to see what a buzz Manchester Pride will create for the city!

Pride Parade

If this is your first time attending Pride there are a few things you need to know-

  1. It is a long day – Comfortable footwear is a must, you will do a lot of walking, probably some dancing and will definitely be on your feet for hours.
  2. A lot of people dress up – Don’t feel like you have to dress up, lots of people don’t BUT if you really want to get into the spirit of pride then bright colours and lots of glitter will be your best friend.
  3. It’s all outdoors – Pride is a street parade and this means a lot of time spent exposed to the elements so be prepared. Suncream, caps and an umbrella are all essentials. It’s a good idea to check the forecast before you go but as it is England it’s best to be ready for any weather.

Whether you decide to dress up or keep it more casual you will definitely need a great pair of comfortable shoes to wear alongside your outfit. Here are some ideas for inspiration –
