Great Camping Locations

Camping-LocationsCamping can be a brilliant way to bring the family together and to make couples closer. Taking some time out in the country side away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life is something everyone should do once in a while and it’s a way of disconnecting from the many technologies that we so often rely on! This summer is a perfect time to remember what it was like to talk, laugh and have fun together.

Great-LangdaleGreat Langdale National Trust Campsite, Cumbria
This campsite really is in the most spectacular of locations! Incredible views lurk around every corner and the walking here is first-class and you’ll really feel like you’re in the heart of the Lake District. Cars aren’t allowed in the actual campsite but the car park is not far enough away for this to be an issue. There are wood-fronted shower blocks and there is also a drying room to put away your damp clothes and boots overnight which is a really useful extra.

Bramble-BieldGlamping – Bramble Bield, Stirling
This quiet gypsy caravan retreat features brightly painted traditional caravans tucked in between an array of trees. Cosy and compact inside with luxurious bedding along with stoves for making tea and coffee. You are more than welcome to pitch a two-person tent by the side of each caravan too and each caravan has an outdoor patio and share a communal campfire. One lovely touch this campsite has to offer is a welcome bag with fresh bread, eggs, butter, milk and jam!

Bwch-yn-uchafBwch-yn-uchaf, Gwynedd
This location is absolutely ideal for windsurfing and sailing on the lake! Set in a deeply traditional Welsh town, you truly will experience something different here and with 80% of people here speaking the regions mother tongue, it could be useful to know a couple of phrases. Whether it’s sailing on the lake or walking up the mountains, this peaceful spot has all bases covered and is a great getaway location.
